Off the charts AMAZING. I had an appointment on Oct 3 to get my Audi serviced. Found these guys on Yelp with 5 stars so I thought I would check them out. The week before I was supposed to bring it in my taillight goes out and the automatic tire sensor light would not go off after I filled my tires with air. Had a road trip planned to SF so I needed to at least get the taillight fixed. Called these guys and they said to just come by that week and they would take a look. Showed up on a Weds. morning and the mechanic stopped what he was doing, fixed the taillight and checked the tires and sensor. Also, I wanted two quarts of oil for the road trip to put in the truck. 10 minutes later I was out the door. Charge: $0 I asked the guy twice if I could pay him something and he said no. Took my car in for the scheduled service on the 3rd and they also did a great job. I HIGHLY recommend them if you are an AUDI owner and need a GREAT place to get your car serviced.

Well, that is what I thought 4 years ago-until I found Fares thru Yelp. What an incredible find! I cannot recommend Fares and his shop of top notch mechanics enough. My car is nearly 10 years old and runs better now, then when I first purchased it, and was having it serviced by the dealer. Fares is extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and honest-yes honest. I know your thinking what I thought, can this be possible with an auto mechanic, particularly one who services luxury German cars? Thanks to all of the excellent Yelp reviews several years ago I decided to hold onto my Audi, and give Independent Audi a try. I am so very happy and fortunate I did! All I can say is, see for yourself. Bring in your Audi for a service, and join the rest of us who are still beaming years later, after finding a shop and a mechanic that excels in every way!

Can't say enough good things about this place and all those who work there. I was nervous bringing my Audi here the first time, I do not like dealing with auto shops since usually you get ripped off or treated like an idiot, esp. if you're a woman. Had no such experience with Independent Audi. They are courteous, explain things thoroughly and get things done on time and I never had a problem or had to go back after they'd serviced or fixed my Audi. Sadly, I was involved in an accident recently when someone ran a red light and I crashed head on into her, totaling my car. I called Independent Audi to get some of my receipts faxed to me. Not only did Fares fax the one I asked for but reminded me about some others that might be useful too. He seemed genuinely concerned. If I'd bought another Audi or a VW I'd definitely bring it back here for service and maintenance. You don't find people like these in the Auto industry very often.

Reasonable prices. Nice people. Honest work. I know a thing or two about cars and would usually want to do the work myself, but often the right tools/workshop make it worthwhile to take it in. I was extremely leery of this place, because I figured no shop could have this many positive reviews. They are as advertised. Thanks Yelp for pointing me in the right direction. They quoted me a price on a service. Turned out to be more expensive than they realized. They stood by the original price even though they practically lost money on the deal. That is commendable, and I will return with more business.

problem was repaired with almost same as dealer price. Before repair and after repair over $150 cost different. And, my car was returned with got scratches here and there also,I found the bumper got hitting mark. Labor cost is $95 per hour. He told me to repair it in 2 hours but it took 3 hours. If person who doesn't care about money and body scratched then, it's ok.

I recently purchased a used 2005 A4 B7 platform and there was an oil leak that would not go away. After many trips to the dealer-recommended mechanic who could not fix the problem, I decided to try Independent Audi & VW Service. I was pleasantly greeted by Jennifer who took my information and scheduled an appointment on the same day. When I brought the car in, I was instantly greeted by Fares and he started looking into the problem. Needless to say, my car was fixed in the same day and now, no more oil leak. Fares took about five minutes to discern the issue while the former mechanic could not fix the issue after numerous trips. Fares and his staff is the only place I will go from here on out. They are professionals and very gifted at what they do. Best of all, they are completely honest about their work.

Just have to add to my review...we've been coming here for over a year with our Audi and VW and Fares and Jennifer are just exceptional. They always take care of our emergencies and are helpful with more extensive repairs - what needs to be done - what can wait. We just bought a new VW and the dealer knew Fares - he is well regarded in the industry. I'm so thrilled to find a great local shop that is helpful, reasonable and trustworthy. We just moved to the area and have both an Audi and VW so they are perfect for us!! Yay! The Audi was badly in need of brakes. They were reasonable and timely and I'll be back next week for an oil change and some deferred maintenance on the VW. Our former shop on the West side was great, but very hard to get to, this shop has a metro stop nearby and an indoor kids play place within walking distance on Colorado!

As said before, You really can't get better service, maintenance and car care anywhere else in LA. Walnut st is a great place to bring your car in general, but Independent Audi is truly special. Fares has taken care of my car at incredibly affordable rates with such an easy going super honest attitude that I want to tip them every single time I pick my car up. My car was recently salvaged due to the high cost of repairs and Fares was totally fine with me buying my own parts to rebuild the car. His patience is amazing and he will try to help you out as much as he can. I have been to the other Audi shops in LA (dealers and tuners etc...) and they boast of having master techs on hand. I have found that you either pay $150 an hour/ insane parts prices or you get somebody who can't diagnose a brake problem so they sell you new pads and rotors for $950 and then try to replace every part of the system when you run out of brake fluid repeatedly (crack in the resevoir duh!) These guys know what they are doing and they are willing to work out a deal. The new addition of Jennifer in the office has made them even more efficient.

I visited Independent Audi today for a break light that was busted. Having gone to the Audi dealer in the past for such problems, I was prepared to be charge an arm and a leg, and then some for this job. Much to my surprise, Independent Audi changed my busted break light less than 5 min... AND for FREE!!!!! Now, I know that this might have been a small gesture for somebody, but not for me. Their generosity and promptness are greatly appreciated. I love this place. Their customer service exceeded my expectations beyond belief. They are very professional, always has a smile on their faces and are always willing to explain and answer all your questions. I trust them wholeheartedly with my car. Thank you Independent Audi! You are AWESOME!!!!!!

Hands down the best Audi-VW shop in LA. Fares and his team are honest. They care about their customers and their cars. The customer's best interest always comes first. I love taking my car to Independent Audi & VW and love recommending this place even more.
