Drive along Walnut/Foothill in Pasadena and you will find dozens of auto repair shops, many of which specialize in in German cars. While I'm sure most of those shops have mechanics qualified to fix your car, there is only one shop that I trust my Audis to, European Autohause. Why? Because Fares and Sean are not only top notch Audi/VW certified professionals, but equally important, they are HONEST mechanics. Yes, they do exist! For example, I recently brought my wife's A3 in, certain that my DSG transmission was toast, and would need a full rebuild. To my surprise, Fares called me back after inspecting my car to let me know that the problems were caused by a plugged hose and a failing bearing on the auxiliary air pump - an easy and inexpensive repair. I picked up my car the same afternoon, as good as new. While I do most of my own maintenance and routine repairs, each time I've needed them, Fares, Sean and the rest of their wonderful staff have treated me with first class service and repaired my car perfectly, promptly and at a very reasonable cost. On my most recent visit, I asked Fares to fully inspect our "new" 2002 TT quattro, which I had recently purchased for my son to take to college. I had already changed the oil, plugs and a few questionable hoses, but wanted to make sure that my son wouldn't have any reliability problems as he was going over 1000 miles from home. Fares called me to advise that everything was perfect, and the car needed nothing. When I came in to pick up the car, I insisted on paying for the inspection, but Fares refused to take a dime! The bottom line is that the good folks at European Autohause are dedicated to building lifelong relationships with excellent service. If you have an Audi or VW, do yourself a favor and call them first!
